DIGITAL Számitástechnikai Kereskedelmi- és Szolgáltató Kft. is carrying out a project to develop a complex, AI-based digital solution providing corporate banking and treasury services.
Project ID: DIMOP_PLUSZ-1.1.2/A-24-2025-00150
Project start date: 2025.09.01.
Planned project completion date: 2026.10.31.
Non-repayable grant amount: HUF 35.00 million
The project is implemented under the Széchenyi Plan Plus programme, with the support of the European Union and co-financed by the Hungarian State.
Project location: 6723 Szeged, Csongrádi sgt. 83.
The project is implemented under the Széchenyi Plan Plus programme, with the support of the European Union and co-financed by the Hungarian State.
The aim of the development is a complex, AI-based digital solution that helps businesses make financial decisions. The application can collect invoice data automatically, either from the system of the National Tax and Customs Administration (NAV) or through the APIs of popular invoicing programs, and data can also be captured by scanning – in the latter case, artificial intelligence improves accuracy and efficiency. Bank data is integrated into the system through an Account Information Service Provider, so the business can see its financial balance in real time and, based on incoming and outgoing invoices and standing orders, gains an accurate picture of its current and expected liquidity.
When optimising cash flow, the system can take into account bank terms, transfer and transaction fees and discounts (e.g. early payment discounts), and on this basis recommends the most cost-effective payments. For decisions on outgoing payments, the system also includes an approval function: it digitally checks and validates the content of incoming invoices – for example, for a service such as car sharing, it can analyse when the service was used and issue a warning if this falls outside company hours (e.g. weekend use).
At the end of the process, the system automatically generates a batch transfer file for the approved items, so payments can be sent to the bank quickly, without errors and with minimal human intervention. Using past transactions, the system can also run cost simulations, recalculating previous bank charges under different terms and providing valuable feedback for fine-tuning financial strategy.
DIGITAL Kft. generates annual revenue of almost HUF 2 billion, with associated bank transaction costs of around HUF 4.5 million. Our detailed analyses show that by timing transactions to take advantage of differences in bank fees, savings of up to 20% can be achieved. This experience
has confirmed our view that an approach based on mathematical modelling and supported by artificial intelligence can serve as the basis for a widely applicable business application.
During the proof-of-concept phase, we successfully demonstrated that the key AI-supported functions can be implemented cost-effectively. The next step is to fine-tune the technology, optimise the algorithms and fully build out the functionality needed to bring the solution to market. The goal is to create a digital tool that, once built into day-to-day operations, can increase businesses' financial efficiency, reduce operating costs and deliver measurable savings.
DIGITAL Számitástechnikai Kereskedelmi- és Szolgáltató Kft. is implementing the project under the Digital Renewal Operational Programme Plus (DIMOP Plusz), on the basis of the call for proposals "Dedicated R&D&I and market entry support programme for digital economy players – Digital product innovation developments", reference number DIMOP_PLUSZ-1.1.2/A-24, published by the Ministry of Energy as the funding body.
